    By John Steinbeck

CCADS Theatre bring a new production of the stage adaptation of one of the greatest American novels of all time to the intimate and atmospheric surroundings of The Square Tower.

John Steinbeck’s own stage version of his classic tale tells the story of George and Lenny, the fast-talking farm hand and the simple giant who accompanies him on a life of casual labour in the California Agricultural Belt of the 1930’s. They share a dream of a little place of their own, where Lenny can tend the rabbits and they can “live off the fat of the land”.

But when Lenny’s actions unwittingly lead to tragedy, George must shatter their dreams to keep Lenny from falling into the hands of the law and the vigilante farm hands bent on revenge ...

Book early as spaces are limited to see this deeply touching, richly dramatic story unfold in one of Portsmouth’s most popular theatrical venues.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd.

Tickets available soon from www.ccads-theatre.co.uk or on 07834 367659
